Castes Project

Ideas for your finger puppets:

You can do the drawing
of your puppet in paper,
color it and then cut it
to make the puppet
for your finger.

You can make
the drawing and
paste it to a sick.

You can bring fancy material to paste on them.

Use the following points as a checklist before you begin your project:
  • DO YOUR PUPPETS WITH YOUR PARTNER BEFORE FILMING THE VIDEO.
  • MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM ALL READY SO THEY LOOK WONDERFUL AND REPRESENT THE CASTAS YOU ARE GOING TO TALK ABOUT.
  • WRITE WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO EXPLAIN ABOUT EACH PUPPET.
  • PRACTICE WITH YOUR PARTNER, REMEMBER YOU BOTH HAVE TO SPEAK.
  • YOU ARE GOING TO APPEAR IN THE VIDEO, COME DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION.
  • USE YOUR TIME WISELY.

You need to explain: Creoles (criollos), Half-blooded (mestizos), Africans, Castizos and mulattoes (mulatos) use your Social Studies notebook as a reference or the SEP History book.

Do your best and use your time wisely.
